Belkis Ayón – FRG OBJECTS & DESIGN / ART is pleased to show a collection of visionary works rarely seen in the USA by the Cuban artist Belkis Ayón (Havana, 1967-1999). Ayón has illuminated a world of myth in personal interpretations of the Afro-Cuban religion Abaku’a and Christian iconography. Ayón’s images, which have brought her international acclaim, come to life in stunning collographic prints, often on a heroic scale.
